How to unlock "size matters" achievment?

Do I need to hit it with a single damage type for 600? My char landed a double crit and did over 600 damage in total but the achievment didn't unlock.

Your character was a rogue of some sort right? because i am pretty sure only one of those can unlock it.

The achievement itself, any class can get it. The rogue part is to unlock Marrauder (and I think Shadowblades can do it too)

To get the achievement, you need a single instance of damage above 600 indeed. Multihit elements don't count.

someone needs to hix the names goddamnit!
when i said rogue, i did not mean the subclass. i mean the higher class category. i did say "of some sort", and "one of those"

Hum, any ideas how I can deal 600dmg as a Orc Sawbutcher in the EoR campaign? I need the achievment for PES since I am unable to kill Aeryn with my current char :c

level up, and get some damage busts. then, use your best attack, on the enemy that is voulnerable to that damage type.

i heard the butcher is strong, so you will probably get there eventually.

edit (taking into consideration jenx below)

weapon damage= 96
damage from skill, arond 216%? something like 210 damage (not bothering calculator)
around 200%crit, if above talent crits, its 420.
from there, you need like 20% bonus to damage type (and i know you can get more easily), and you get over 600.

Easy. The key to large damage is crit mutiplier and dmg type boost. Obviously you then want to boost crit chance. Get those high and you will clear 600 easily.

Do I have to deal over 600 dmg with one skill, one weapon, one damage type? Is it possible to get the achievement while dual wielding or does the damage has to come from one source to count?

Tinker classes can easily do it by using a bunch of physical damage items and getting a crit with a t3 Saw Projector. You can even use a staff for +20% physical or so to push you over the threshold.

I think you need a weapon upgrade. Tier 5 Saw weapon with 60 strength and having crit chance from gloves & belt should be enough to do it with a high damage skill. Sawbutcher is quite good for farming the rare trees in the forest. Or you could explore some of the extra zones for items and crafting materials. You might be able to get a recipe for a T5 unique saw, which have truly devastating power.

Yes, Size matters needs one hit for over 600. extremely annoying since most of the classes that really want PES do their damage in multiple hits and usually won't get it by 30

My equipment was subpar, sadly I didn't have as much rng as I would've liked it :C

Just curious: Do you guys think it is easier to get the achievment as a caster or melee character? Spells have more variety and most likely more burst than ordinary close combat characters and they heavily depend on a good weapon to reach their goal.

most characters can achieve it by level 30 by the time it's relevant, if you use element attacks leave a floor of SC half cleared and hit the right crystal with your element, or otherwise you want to crit with high weapon multiplier or base damage attacks (saw projector mentioned earlier, and a couple other easy ways to do it off the top of my head are assault, nature's equilibrium, and in the specific case of SWB i would try hitting a boss you've hit with 7+ effects with Punishment.

if you're really struggling to get PES consider taking it at level 42 unless you're one of the classes that really wants it at 30 (MS TW Psyshot mainly, and maybe mindstar classes. If daggers were good dagger classes should take it at 30 also.)

e: for marauder unlock i hear the meta is critting with a 2H or illuminate spell out of stealth i think

tl;dr: Cornac shadowblade lvl10. level 5 shadowstrike + Illuminate + target a Crimson Crystal (200% light weakness, mob found in scintillating cave)
