Infinite Dungeon: Antimagic and Fungus.

I've discovered that you can get antimagic in the ID but what about Fungus?

I was using a summoner.

Having said that, the ID is horrible. The only way to keep up with levels is to open vaults but opening vaults is the surest way to die. It's a catch-22.

My favorite was running into the Master at level 9. Yeah, that went about as badly as expected.

I didn't know it had bosses from the regular game! I found the meteor demon lady whose name is unspellable at level 6. Unfortunately she spawns at a minimum level of 25 and 2,000 hps was too much to handle at that point

Also didn't know you could learn anti-magic, that's cool

Well, my Summoner is up to level 48 of the dungeon and here are a few things I've learned:

You get another category point at 46. Not sure if you get any more after that and as such, I'm saving it.

I still haven't found any opportunity to gain Fungus and so I assume, thus far, that you can't learn it.

The Orc pride bosses still drop the orbs, which grant a stat bonus, and so they're definitely worth sticking around to kill.

I fought a temporal horror... arguably the most difficult fight I've had in 25 levels or so. Every time it hit me, it dropped me to about 5-10% max life. It was touch-and-go there for a while but I took it down.

I'm at level 47 and so I'm close to finding out what happens after level 50, in terms of scaling.

The Summoner ability to lower resistances is arguably the best ability in the entire game, in terms of long-term utility.

Yeah, I ran into the Master at level 9.

That went about as well as expected. It cost me my only life thus far just to escape him. He was in one of those vaults with a long, straight, narrow corridor with a bunch of rooms off the corridor. He was the end and so I had to run straight back with him raining hell onto me. I hadn't yet found a movement infusion. It was brutal.

I also had to run from what's his name... the underwater dragon in the East, something the wise or whatever. I was like level 14 or so and he was... well, he wasn't.

I just now ran into an elite or unique (I don't know) summoner that has proven my equal. I can't kill him and he can't kill me. Irritating.

Anyway, yeah... it's rough. I only did it to find out what happens with scaling past 50. Apparently, you just get 1 stat point and one either generic or class talent skill.

You were right about the summoner pick, OP. I tried a few and my second is up to level 20, character and ID level. Went with Yeek for the mind control and speed. That turning enemies to your side for 7 turns can be huge in desperate situations.

Got a pile of artifacts from the vaults, great healing and HP, but I'm down to 1 life though. Should be interesting to see how far i can get. Haven't run into any super nasty uniques I had no chance against like my other characters did.

I'm trying to think of what other Race/Class combos would be ideal for long ID runs. Probably Oozemancer, as Thaloren or Cornac. Maybe Halfling

why not a dwarf? they give you armour... and maybe aren't so good with the starting stats, but you can make up for that right?

I don't find their racials to be that good. Even the last one, which is a decent escape, is conditional on being next to a wall right?
