Arcane blade class and stone spell category

A lot of the guides I see online and some of the winning builds in the character vault for arcane blade seem to have the stone spell category in use. When I play the actual game though it isn't available to me. Is this something that was removed in a recent patch? It does sound a little op from what I've read, but no amount of googling seems to to find the answer.

Spell/Stone is an unlockable tree. You need to kill the random boss Harkor'Zun, who most often appears in Daikara or Tempest Peak, in order to make it available on all future characters.

wont work for the one doing it through.
also, its a lvl 10+ talent category, so you will to spend a point in to it.
you know what juggling (in the context) is right?
because if you keep a point in let's say "flame", every time your magical combat procs, you will have 50% chance to throw up a weak ass fireball, instead of 3 razor sharp rocks of awesome.

In the 1.4 beta, you can pick what talent(s) can trigger.

Arcane Combat can now also trigger
Pulverizing Auger. It´s a beam spell so it can do a bit more damage then Earthen missiles but it digs out up to 5 walls.

It's stronger than Earthen Missiles and a beam. But being physical, does it still have to penetrate armor? It also costs more mana to cast, and its tree doesn't come with a nice resistance-penetrating skill. I'm still deciding whether it's an upgrade from Earthen Missiles or not.

Also, it WILL give it for the character that gets the unlock, provided it's an Archmage or Arcane Blade.

only weapons attacks are reduced by armour, and they are reduced no matter what type they are.
non weapon attacks will never be reduced by armour, even if they are physical type.
only shield's block is based on the type.

Reportedly earthen missiles can't get the staff or shield accuracy bonus to procs because it isn't instant so if you either use a staff or shield augur is probably just better.
