some questions:

1. Can you finish all the alchemist quests? (noticed if you only do one at a time, not speaking to the other alchemists you can do more than one)

2. High tier white rings and amulets never drop. are these the rarest commodity in the game? (wish there was a way to disenchant)

3. Ancient Tome will not drop in every game?

4. when you finish the game, can you play on? (i stopped the sorcerer at the charred scar timed zone)

5. i play a race with high exp penalty, is this the reason why i have to farm like crazy in the fortress portal after iv'e done all the quests to make it to 50?

6. Add ons. the only add on i use is the DLC. is there any add ons you can recomend?

No, you can't. The max number is 5, and you need some luck to acheive that.
2. High tier white rings and amulets never drop. are these the rarest commodity in the game? (wish there was a way to disenchant)
Yes, higher tier items have a higher chance to be enchanted. However there is a place in far east where the number of white items is unusually high. Also, some specific white items (rings and amulets, for instance), are a garantied drop from a (very dangerous) boss.
3. Ancient Tome will not drop in every game?
No, it is a matter of chance.
4. when you finish the game, can you play on? (i stopped the sorcerer at the charred scar timed zone)
Presently, no AFAIK. But, you can always go to the infinite dungeon.
5. i play a race with high exp penalty, is this the reason why i have to farm like crazy in the fortress portal after iv'e done all the quests to make it to 50?
Yes. With a yeek, you can be level 40 after dreadfell without any exp farming.
6. Add ons. the only add on i use is the DLC. is there any add ons you can recomend?
There are many great add-ons. I presently use ~15.
Difficult to give an advice. Some are great to improve the UI (Marson), some add new items and/or change some talents (arcanum, midnight, new gems), some introduce new game mechanics (multi-class, crucible). But most define new classes or races. I can just advice you to experiment in order to find which correspond to your taste.

You can play on after finishing the game depending on circumstances.

Recommended addons: HousePet's Arcanum Class pack, HousePet's Verdant pack, HousePet's Midnight pack (see a trend?), faster run rest and explore and ZOminbus addon pack. Just a couple of addons I use that I like. Other suggestions might be: QuickToME, Old RPG tileset or one of the many other class mods out there.

Addons to use:

ZOmnibus Addon Pack - Many general game features and improvements. I personally would never play without it.
Allow Full Respec Everywhere - Because it's less fuss than floating points and allows you to salvage broken builds for characters you've invested many hours in. Use this if you value your time more than permanent mechanical consequences for talent choices.
Escorts Enhanced - Escort quests can be really annoying without mods, but only get this if you are sure you don't like them the way they are.

Addon to disable:

Stone Wardens DLC - Turn off when you aren't playing Stone Warden class if you have flaky connection to ToME servers. With this turned on, you can be locked out of unrelated characters for no good reason.
Not sure if other DLCs have the same problem.

Some mods I like, there's one called more tales that adds an extra dungeon to the map that's a little easier than others to get you started.

There's one that opens up the Yeek starting area for non Yeeks and the Dwarf town (plus it's two dungeons).

These are great for the extra xp, money and items, level bosses almost always drop artifacts.

Another one puts the extra dungeons on the map that only sometimes appear like Caldera, Poosh, Slime Jungle, ect so it's not a random chance of getting them.

Do you have the game through Steam? It's nice and organized on there for you to look through them all.

So, i will go for the ZOmnibus Addon Pack, seen it mentioned many times. Also Allow Full Respec Everywhere is a must have, cause i like to test things out.
I think i like the escorts the way they are, even though some of the sitiuations they appear may be unfair sometimes. i like the feeling when i kept everyone safe on a character against all odds.
Stone wardens i might try later. Also some housepet mods.

Maybe i will find the mod with access to the dwarven and yeek starting places.
I like random dungeons for the same reason i like the escorts, so it's extra nice if they appear on a char. (slime jungle is an insane area, su much items! (but no white amulets..))
Yeah, i have ToME on steam, so thats nice.

now i use:

Zomnibus pack
Somebody shut that dog up
Allow respec anywhere
Faster Run/Rest/explore
Draconians (because i love dragonlance)

Then i will take it from there. Probably housepet's later. Thanks for giving me a start guys.
