1) If i select Nightmare difficulty will i get better drops than in Normal?
2) The higher the difficulty is the more rares will spawn?

the drops depend on the killed enemy.
rares drop red/pink
bosses and randbosses drop yellow and orange.
higher difficulty provides higher lvl creatures who are more likely to be rare or randbosses.

just download double class chalange addon, and from the set lvl (10 by default) (and their lvl, not yours) everything will be randbosses.
you will see how fun it is, and what their loot is.

Random bosses mostly appear on Insane+. They might exist on Nightmare, but I'm not sure.

Randomized loot stats seem to be affected by the level of the mob that dropped it, so in that sense playing on Nightmare should give better loot. The difference is more noticeable on Insane+ though.

really? you never got a randboss from a chest on normal?

oh, you mean elites? cause that is what spawns

yeah, from a cheast you can get 6 critters, 2 rares, or 1 randboss. + items.

The purple outlined mobs are uniques/rares but the ones with elaborate purple lining are randbosses, a bit stronger random monsters.
Those can be found on Normal mode as well, though a bit less often than on higher difficulties.
