Getting to Unhallowed Morass (Chronomancer starting area)

I killed the weaver queen and then went around to clean up the rest of the spiders (to hopefully level again) and then I used the Zero Point teleport to get back... but the other boss didn't spawn, seems it only spawns if you use the rift left by the weaver queen.
So, my question is this... can I get back into the Unhallowed Morass to complete this quest and get the shard, or am I screwed and just need to restart?

Don't think you can get back, if it's crucial, you'll just need to restart.

you can't get back in, unfortunately. I complained about this same thing and devs said it was by design.
Hope they change it.

i'd think the defiler should still spawn because you did nothing to stop them from doing their attack, having jumped out of the mission. yeah?
but im curious why its by design.
try using
game:changeLevel(1,"unhallowed-morass")
in dev mode.
might work?

Since I had to wait for my post to get approved an all that I just restarted my game. Now I'm leveling characters and trying to get the Caldera to spawn so I can unlock the Solopsist.

What would easily keep this from happening is if you didn't get the Zero Point teleport and the main Maj'eyal port in town didn't work til after you complete the Morass.

Presumably "working by design" is giving players (especially on harder difficulties) an opt-out option to escape boss fights, to avoid spawning the Rod of Recall for achievement purposes. Probably the way to let people use their Teleport and not the level entrance would be to pop up a dialog with different options depending on where you are in the quest (e.g. "Backing out now will mean Zemykks will send in another Warden in your place." "You sense a thread from the Weaver queen to Point Zero, you can follow it or continue to May'eyal.") to add verisimilitude and make sure people know they will be breaking the quest. I'm not sure what this would look like in code, but I suspect it would be frustrating special-casing in the talent code.
