1. So, if an item says it give +12% all, does that mean, each or what?

If I have an item that gives, say, +30% fire, +30% lightning, is the +12% all better because that gives +12 to every single kind of damage? +12 mind, +12 temporal, +12 physical, +12 nature, ete cte ctecetete = much more than +60 from the 2 +30's.

(I cant go into character screen to even see what it says so may as well ask to get this all cleared up once and for all).

2. Also, if my staff in telekinetic grasp does +30% fire on being worn, does that mean, "yay, any attack I make with my 4 arms now has +30% fire added also, yay!"? Because that sure seems like what it should be but it seems like really amounts of damage are added??? actually my staff does 30 for 4 different types and I got other items like a ring that does some for multiple types, so do these all stack?

If in fact any of this is not how it would intuitively seem from what it says, a pop-up should explain what really happens. Its hard to know what item to use or if I'm make a foolish swap.

+all% does give bonus to everything. so its not very usefull if you are playing with only one damage types, but if you use multiple it adds up.

i am not sure whether it applyes at the same time as other +1%, of afterwards.

+30% fire means all fire damage will be 30% bigger.
it means it doesn't help unless you are doing fire damage, and only add damage based on the fire damage. it will not affect anything else.

+% damage is an increase to your damage of that type. So if you have a staff with +30% fire/phys/blight/acid and attack with what would otherwise do 100 physical damage, it now does 100 * (1 + 0.30 + % ALL [0 in this example]) = 130 physical damage. This is why it is listed as "Changes damage: +y % TYPE" and not adds damage or something.

So your +30% fire staff isn't going to provide any benefit unless you're doing fire damage to start with. I suppose there could be a popup, but this is really pretty obvious the first time you use such a weapon, hit anything, and look at the combat log. Plus it's described pretty well in the tooltip over +% type damage increases in the character sheet.

As for when it applies, +% all and +% type are added together and the resulting sum is what your damage is increased by.
