Restoring a dead character

So say I had a character that I was doing well on for once, when I misclicked and canceled one of my buffs and as a result I died. And while I don't have a problem dying to my own stupidity, I'm not happy about dying to a misclick. :(

Now, I was fortunate enough to grab a copy of the save file, but only from after he had died, and was wondering how I could bring him back?

I've found the "d["dead"]=true "thing, which I think I have to delete, and I found the ["life"]=-19.whatever, but after changing those two* the loading screen just gets stuck at 100%.

*I deleted the ["dead"] thing, and changed the ["life"] to a positive number.

So, any ideas?

your character is most likely in the void.
now, he is alive, in the void.

For sake of curiosity, I looked at my save files and found - for my current character :
- cur.png -> a imited screenshot of the last position. OK
- desc.lua -> a very short description without very interesting stuff
- game.teag -> I guess this one is the "real" save file but it's encoded. How can I read it's contents ?

Most of the weird tome extensions, including that one, are just zip files.

OK, thanks
Considering the amount of lines in those unzipped files - I found the one for my character - I'll take a look... later.
Right now, I have hobbit ruins to purge ! :D
