Can't download in Windows 8

Help! I just got a new computer and it won't allow me to install ToME on it. It downloads fine from the main site, but when I run the launcher, it never comes up. The taskbar shows it as running, and I can even see there is something there, but I cannot get the launcher to appear anywhere where I can get to. It's basically perma-minimized. Anybody know how to fix this?
