ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

So I donated a couple days ago, two separate 5 euro donations, the first one for stonewardens, the second one for ashes; I assumed only one donation was necessary, but apparently no voratun coins are given for the first one, since I didn't 'own' the game before that. Anyway, I got my character to the fortress, and there is no item vault there. I was told in chat it should be southwest of the storage room (the one that sorts) but there is nothing there. I am able to play stonewardens and doombringers just fine, and my name is green in the ingame chat. Do I have to download any sort of addon for the vault or something like I did for ashes? If so, where is it?

It should auto download the item vault addon. Or maybe it didn't auto enable.

Looking at your character page, it doesn't show the Item Vault addon as being enabled. Check the Addons section of the boot menu to ensure it's installed and active. This won't give you access to the vault on your current character, though, only new ones.

Is it possible that the item vault is like some addons in that it needs to be present when you start a character for it to work?

Addons are only loaded when you create the character. Any addons you acquire or enable after that won't affect your existing save.

I think I found the problem based on stinkstink's post. In the addons list ingame, the vault was defaulted to disabled; I've enabled it and I'll see if it works. I'm assuming the current character won't get it, but the next should; I'll post about it when the time comes.

Problem resolved.

The solution is indeed as mentioned above. After donation, you have to manually add the item vault as any other addon; for some reason it does not update automatically.
