Finding a Mod developer...

So, I finished full-concept for my Necromancer re-work and I was curious as to whether or not I could post it in the Addons section and see if anyone is interested in working on it, i.e. recruiting a developer.

I don't know if that's a faux pas or not, hence my question.

Grayswandir decided to implement the Elementals stuff in that idea thread, so it does happen sometimes, but... hoping for someone else to come along and do all the hard, unfun work to make your vision into reality is not a reliable way to get software done within any specific time frame.

Alternately go on IRC and bug DarkGod every single day about it.

Yeah, I figured as much but I wanted to be sure.

I just don't have the time and my coding skills are… weak these days, ha ha. Then again, I'm in no rush.

Having said that, what's IRC?

Online chat client. Don't ask me how to actually use it, I've got no idea and want to know as well.

Note that this will be true for pretty much everyone worth caring about. 8)

Then your Necro addon will be good practice. 8)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet_Relay_Chat

This URL might work: irc://irc.rizon.net/#tome
If not, there ought to be a link in a sticky somewhere on this forum...

URL posts don't need quotes on the URL. So it should be text you want to go to fakesite.com.

And the link is not working. Doesn't direct me to any new site on a direct click, opens an empty window on a new tab.

Here's the IRC thread.

And here's the direct link I used to get on the ToME IRC.

Ah, well… I can't seem to login to the game and I've sent a message but the only reply I got was that the server might be over-burdened and to try again later.

Sadly, I've never been successful playing the game online… not one time have I successfully logged in. Fun.

Still, thanks for the feedback and maybe I'll get around to pestering him about it.
