Enemies taking multiple turns

Sorry if this is an exceptionally dumb question, but I'm very frustrated after the most recent incident. Several times (I think all of my deaths) on my dwarf stone warden the enemies would occasionally take multiple turns in a row. The most recent (and final) death came after one skeleton master archer got in like, 10 turns. Some of my abilities even came off cooldown in the middle of his turns. Is this a bug? Is this something I can avoid somehow?
Thank you for any information.

Pay attention to status effects. Some of them slow you down.
Also if you have Stone Vines on, your movement speed is halved, so taking a step gives all enemies two turns.

Dumb questions is what this forum is for.
Really hard to say what happened exactly but most likely instead of a bug it was a debilitating effect that rendered you unable to act.. or rather reduced your speed because, iirc, incapacitated/stunned still get their turn even though they can't act. My memory on the game is hazy since I've been away for a while.
Skeleton archers do have pins but that shouldn't cause the problem you described unless you have somehow skipped turns by keeping a move button pressed or something.
As for the player class that sounds more likely to cause issues. Stone wardens, afaik, have sustained skills that reduce their speed and whatnot, so that might cause a fast skeleton (archers are fast) to have multiple turns against you. Especially so if that skeleton happened to be unique or rare instead of normal.
In the future these cases would be a bit easier to solve if you could go to the mainsite and grab a link to your character. That way we could check if something has happened.
So as for the avoiding of such happenings I would advice you to take a closer look at the skills before you use them and also Movement Infusion is really your friend in situations when dealing with debilitating effects and/or fast enemies. Be sure to always have one if possible.

Here is a link to the character in question.

I knew that stone vines slowed down your movement speed, but I hadn't tried to move. I thought that it only affected turns in which you moved, not performed other actions. That and it seemed to be *way* too many turns for even the 50% slow down if I was wrong.
Is there a way to go back and look at what status effects I was under? I literally took all 700 hp in one go and was just flabbergasted and quit.
Thank you guys for the quick responses.

You are a stone warden using the stone vines class feature. This reduces your movement speed to 50%. You can attack and use spells at 1:1 ratio, but any movement while that class feature is on gives them two turns.

Isn't that the 'effects' section in your character dump? It lists 4 items, including shards, stoneskin, stone vines, and eldritch infusion.
But I suspect that is at the time of death, and you can see in your log, just before the final hit, it says 'Orphar speeds up', which probably means there was another effect that had just worn off.

You probably got hit by crippling shot which is like -40% speed. The rest is probably the archer's gear - bows can shoot fast enough for that -40% speed to let them get off 3 or more shots, and theres bows that can proc additional shots too like the Recursion ego.

We can see from the log that "Orphar speeds up." which indicates a slow effect wearing off.
Also we see that you were stunned.
That said, 5 turns with no action seems excessive.
I think we need a few more lines of combat log in these dumps.

If you get hit with Sleep you won't be able to take any actions until you wake up, which can take multiple turns.

Except sleep doen't last that long when you're accumulating damage every turn as well, usually.
