Just checking. Haven't seen the global chats show up once in the last few days. I do see online/offline bounces a lot, but the item vault seems to work fine.

I assume its just getting hammered by the ashes swarm of players.

I'm having the same issue, so you're not the only one. As to the cause, I suspect it may be server load due to the recent expansion but that's just a guess.

Anyone know when it might be coming back? Seems a couple of weeks since its been offline, and it's nice seeing the chatter while playing. I suppose I could join the IRC channel, but still wondering

It works for me.

It hasn't worked since Ashes came out for me, running the newest version on Mac via Steam. I do get the cycling connected/disconnected messages from time to time.

Thinking about it. When Ashes first came up, there was a lot of connection issues, and it was in and out. But present. A day or two into it, I bought Ashes, and then I think it stopped working. Even though most of the time I am connected, and the item vault is in fact more stable than I've ever seen it.

I wonder if it may just be hitting everyone who got it through Steam and has purchased Ashes (through steam). With me and Lyoncet, that'd be too.

Where do bugs go for Darkgod to see? Sounds like something with the Ashes deployment on Steam may be blocking the chat functionality? I don'...

There it is.

I missed it the last time I scanned options, but there is an option for the chats. And they'd all been set to disabled. I think that must've happened after the Ashes install, since I was talking on there beforehand and hadn't manually done it.

For others:
Escape for Options, Game Options, Online, click Chat Channels. See if they've all quietly gotten turned off.
