ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

I've never been particularly fond of the Summoner but it is an easy enough build. That being said, I always run into the same problem…

I tend to cruise through the game until Grushnak… everyone goes down easily but generally Grushnak and then at least one of the four bosses in the Slime Tunnels is just impossible.

I can always take them down to about half life and then everything falls apart. I can continue casting my summons but for some reason, they never seem to finish him off.

Is my gear sub-optimal? Yeah, I'm sure it is but what's the deal? What is it that is with Grushnak that stalls me every time?

It may be helpful to post a link to your character, that way we can check it out and point out any glaring flaws.

Grushnak is using Unstoppable and killing your summons. Stop summoning when he uses Unstoppable.
