ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

I have searched for a good beginner's guide and have not been able to find one that's both reasonably complete and up to date.

If anyone could either direct me to a good beginner guide that still applies, or a veteran player just write one up for the current game, I'd be hugely grateful.
