ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

This is probably a super dumb question, but how do you kill Linaniil with a non-caster melee class? I've done it three times before, twice with an arcane blade, and once with a necro. Specifically, how do melee classes deal with the meteoritic crashes? From what I've seen, her prodigy(meteoritic crash) has no cooldown. Any advice would be helpful. Also, has anyone actually beaten Linaniil with a melee class in 1.2.3?

It might be a bordering on cheat-y, but any spell disruption is your friend. But the easiest source (Gloves of Dispersion?) isn't a guaranteed drop...

In general, lots of health, and a really high fire and physical resistance might help.For some classes, you could probably use Unstoppable for all it's worth.

In all seriousness, though, the question is legitimate. Although someone who's actually beaten Linaniil with a melee non-caster would have a more legitimate answer.

I've marked Linaniil as unbeatable. Even with my 41% resist all, 56% physical resist, 61% fire resist, and my insane damage per turn, I couldn't even kill her once. I had to movement infusion out of there, and I don't think I'll be trying again anytime soon.
