Archmages: Spell/Meta is Generic, now?

My archmage is dead; I just started a new one. Previous version had Meta as a Class talent. The new one, I couldn't find the category at first, then realized it had moved across to a generic category.
So, uh, what happened? The only mod I added recently was Eternal Darkness, and I didn't think this affected any classes beyond necromancers. Was there a rebalancing update to the entire game that I missed?

Eternal Darkness makes Meta a generic talent. Just disable Eternal Darkness to make it a class talent again.

Interesting. Thanks for the quick info. I almost didn't mention Eternal Darkness; I didn't see how it was relevant for a non-necromancer.

Is this in the latest version? I removed Meta in favour of an upcoming Archlich generic tree for Necromancer, so I should have removed any references to making Meta generic.
Although I actually quite liked generic Meta on some AM builds so maybe I'll split that off into a tweak addon.

Yes, the latest version. I just grabbed ED from Steam a couple of days ago.
