Is there any way to turn the speed down on auto explore? It seems that mine is going light speed, and I remember it going much slower before (albeit on a slow computer).

I think there's a setting in the options when your in game... try turning up smooth creatures movement up, maybe that will help. or you could turn down the max frame rate on the main menu options
