ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

I am trying to complete a quest that requires an artifact and I am having trouble figuring out what an artifact might look like.

I tried looking on the wiki and it appears a random artifact has a certain color. I think I have one in my inventory but the desc doesn't say anything about it being an artifact.

Will an item say its an artifact in the desc of it somewhere?

Randarts aren't considered artifacts by this smug apprentice. You need a yellow (fixed artifact) one, that has "powered by arcane forces" in its description.

Really? I'm pretty sure that he'll accept the 'orange' random artefacts, so long as they are powered by arcane forces. Unless that was changed somewhere along the ways, that should be the case.

Yes, you seem to be right. Then the problem is either with the art not being arcane-powered, or interface showing the wrong tab by default. Try to click on the last inventory tab to show all relevant items.
