I've only tried this once, but it seems like if you try to get the same talent category twice from an escort quest, the second time has no effect.

E.g. Pick "Allow training of talent category Spell / Stone Alchemy" on one escort. This makes the category visible on the talents page, but not unlocked. Pick it a second time... no effect. I sort of expected it to unlock the category the second time, or up the multiplier or something. But nothing happened.

Is this how it works right now? Is that intended? (If so, I think I'd prefer if the option to pick that category wasn't available if it's already viewable on your talents page.)

That's probably a bug. Whenever I get the same escorts I can't pick the same talent categories twice. It's removed from the list.

Hmm, ok. I'll try to reproduce it if I get the chance.

This has never happened to me, but maybe the category can show up again if you have a golem?

Testing shows that does NOT work with Adventurers, so maybe not.

So I finally managed to get two alchemist escorts again. I took Stone Alchemy on the first one, and this time, when I got the second one, he did NOT offer me Stone Alchemy. Which is working as intended, it seems.

I'm thinking it's possible that when I first posted, I misremembered taking Stone Alchemy, or took it on a short-lived character in the recent past. (Or if it was a bug, it needs special conditions I'm not aware of, or it's intermittent.)
