A question on "changes damage"

Alright, so in my quest to unlock Marauders with an Illuminate Shadowblade(my last one died at lvl.9, which is as far as I've ever gotten), I got a Summertide Phial. It says "Changes damage: +10% Light"
Does that mean it converts 10% of my damage into light, or boosts light damage by 10%? I'm a little confused. x3

The latter. Boosts all your light damage by 10%.

Yeah, I figured it out. :/
Now to just keep a Shadowblade alive long enough to get the unlock. 581 damage on a monster in the Scintilating Caves(After doing about 4ish other dungeons, by far my best run yet), but I died before I could leave the area and level up further, much to my frustration. xP
Surprisingly not that mad, though. Sneaking in, casting a Illuminate, then teleporting out and waiting for the Illuminate cooldown was kinda a boring way to play, to be honest. :/
