My dumb question is: If my character, like my dwarf cursed, is already above the certain level, say spellhunt remnants with 1-25, can the artifact still be generated for my character? I would really enjoy finding those gloves on my level 35 AM cursed .

Usually not, as level 1-2 artifacts only appear in early dungeons, and never in later ones. So for example, if you really really want Serpent's Glare and other low level mindstars, if you don't get them early on, u probably won't.

This is one reason why the farportal is good for lower lvl chars (say, lvl 20). Because then, you increase your chance of finding them. But it is risky....

I've never been to a farportal yet (except the one that takes you to the Far East).

The fatportal he's referring to is in your home.

Incidentally, this is something I wish they'd change. It would be nice if low-tier artifacts see pseudo-guaranteed late game (as chest drops, say).
