Curse of the Meek

Hello

Is anyone playing necromancer and have survived long enough in the current version of ToME4 can confirm what i'm currently observing ?

Curse of the Meek at max level summon 7 bunnies that attract the specific attention of hostile monster, that part works no problem.

Now the great thing about Curse of the Meek is when one of those bunnies is killed by a hostile, there's 70% of chance of you getting 1 soul, something great for places you cleared then ran suddenly into a very strong boss that will have you run of out soul stock rather quickly.

But as i'm currently running through Dreadfell, what i observe is far, very far from those "70%" of chances, i have Curse of the Meek maxed and after specifically testing it, i would say it's more like 10% as i really doubt i'm that unlucky to get the roll always getting over the 70% .

Anyone can confirm this so i can know if it has been an exceptional serie of bad luck in this 70% roll i am going through since i have that skill, or if there's indeed something wrong about the 70% ?

It isn't impossible that you're just having really bad luck. I haven't really bothered with the Shades tree yet, but I'll be sure to next time, if only to figure that out.

By any chance, were the bunnies that died for your cause in your Necrotic Aura at the time?

And that they were actually killed by enemies?

Is that a requirement? I wouldn't have realized there was a distinction, myself.

Yes, they are in my necromancer aura (maxed), i don't use my Retch when they're here (as early i observed my Retch insta-kill them) and i don't shoot them or through them (as they need to be killed by hostiles), though if there are skeleton mage in my minions they sometime destroy some of the bunnies unfortunately.

If it's not buggy and that it's really still 70% of chance, i must have the most incredible bad luck then (though limited only to this spell then as my ghoul necro is still doing extremely good, even cleared dark crypt without dying once) , as i'm now beyond Dreadfell and still observe the same "it's closer to 10% of chance roughly" soul recovering from those bunnies destruction.

I've checked the code, and it appears to be faulty.
The +1 soul is granted to the killed creature, not the summoner.

self:incSoul(1) should be self.summoner:incSoul(1)

Thank you, i knew i couldn't be -that- unlucky :D

Hopefully it will not be too much of a problem for my current necromancer, he just reached the east and is very promising (at least i'll use the bunny as distraction, though it's a pity i maxed them, wasting points)

Can someone make sure to post this in the Bugs section so it gets addressed?

Thanks. I'd hate to see something like this go unfixed because it was reported in the wrong section.
