ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

Greeetings!

Newbie here, two dumb questions:
1) My internet is OK and I have allowed connections in the firewall, however, the game cannot register an account or log in. Register hangs the game (engless progress bar), logging in tells me to wait a few minutes or check credentials.
2) Can I play this game via keyboard? In particular, how do I navigate the "P" screen (levelup screen) with keyboard? It seems that it takes two up/down commands to navigate the list of attributes for some reason, but also, when selecting an attribute via keyboard, it doesn't really get selected - meaning, its information is not displayed on the right (if hovering with a mouse, it does get displayed). What am I doing wrong?

1) Everybody has that problem at the moment. There's a huge load of people coming from Steam, seems like the server is having problems coping.
2) Uh... I play mostly with keyboard, but for the levelup I use the touchpad, so maybe there actually is a way to do this with the keyboard I don't know about. As far as I know though, that's how the levelup screen works. I suppose it would be better if the keyboard selection overroad the mouseover there...

I believe (never tried it) that you can use the arrow keys to navigate between talents and hit Enter to level it up.

Yes you can, but I want to see description before I level up. And, the fact that you have to press twice to move once around attributes is wierd...
