Ok so I wanna get a reaver win before 1.5 comes and the build gets annihilated, anything I need to know about them?

This is what I have so far

Doomelf
Tinkers + light
Maybe some points into burning hex if I do spellblaze quest?
PES + AM as prodigies



What should I do with the spare class points?

Generics are pretty tight but I should be able to manage thanks to escorts

Probably at least put a few more points into drain, if for no other reason than to up its range (not that the extra damage/vim regen hurts, exactly). Can't think of many reasons not to drop the extra two points into acid blood to get the full effect, either.

... will say, though, if you're going staff you probably want to put some points into combat accuracy. Good chunk of the reason a reaver would go staff to begin with is that accuracy bonus, and you kinda' need accuracy to benefit from it, ehehe.

Also. If you're going staves, mana coil. Probably want one more point in electricity. The actual mana regen is completely irrelevant, that 25% on spell tlvl 5 lightning when it's voratun less so.

Definitely more points in drain, 4/5 or 5/5 since it's an important tool for management. 2 points in combat acc is rarely a waste. Light and tinkers seems a bit overkill but you can afford it so go for it I guess not sure what you'd want mana coil for though so maybe keep it as a swap and use some damage ones to increase your procs.
Something I like to do is 4/5 or 5/5 (forgot the breakpoint) Worm Walk, at that point the cooldown is lower than the maggot duration and you can generate vim from nothing over a long duration if you're alone in an area, aside from that it's very nice for the affinity, the mobility, and the increased heals. Those aside, points in epidemic or dark portal are rarely wasted.

Another thing I'd consider heavily is Blunt Thrust; one of Reaver's biggest faults is that they don't have a reliable stun that doesn't need multiple talents that double check saves and immunities.

This is the character, level 19 atm. I'll get rot at lvl 20 probably and tinkers at 36

only found 1 escort so far, already have done maze and 2 levels of old forest, lets see if i don't get wrecked by bad escorts spawns

on the generics front, you probably want 3/5 chem for alchemist's helper, put another point in elec for mana coil or use viral injectors (w/ acc bonus injectors are better iirc) and 2/5 explosives for ablative armor. if you've still got spare after that dump points into blunt thrust so you can stun or haste of the doomed for CD reduction on it which is really nice. also 4/5 or 5/5 drain to make vim management not awful

Character report time:

lvl 28 at the moment, have done all t2 dungeons, only 3 escorts and 2 of them died (old forest 4, next to boss, and daikara alt 2)

Only problem is the save broke

Well, i made a new one, and found corpsebow

This thing is actually insane for reaver

+20 blight on hit (also pretty sure corrupted strength procs if you have anyone on melee range)
+40% blight mod
40% chance to disease on ranged hit
Max level cyst burst on the item (10 out of 20 charges, so you can actually use it 2 times straight)

I don't think i'm switching from this any time soon

Alright this is pretty funny

Right now my setup is Corspebow with hornet stingers

Corrupted strength procs are only melee, so i do unarmed hit

Thing is, i'm wearing sludgegrip, so i slow 40% on hit, and i have 35% chance? to do slime spit on hit
