Madness survival the Stabya way, version 1.0 not spell checked
(and a Reaver Madness guide thrown in for free)

Madness gives you epic gear when you yourself isn't.
Always switch to best gear for the fight at hand

Try to have a main dps weapon set and switch set that is defence/debuff
Equipment examples In order of importance:
1.
Good inscriptions/runes
Mindstar of sand -Gives you tuneling skills
Aetherwalk -Or similar Op Mobility
Wrap of Stone - Stay semi safe for a few turns
Gloves of dispersion - To debuff Magical monsters or yourself (makes final fight easier)
Life Drinker - Or similar to take away physical buffs on monsters
2.
Mummified Egg-sac of Ungolë - Or similar to keeps something between you and that retarded skeletal warrior who stuns you for 30 turns
Rod of Spydric Poison - To keep monsters at range to run away or to drown them (we have to fight 1-40 without it)
3.
Eden's Guile - Use before you enter world map or before changing level for a few turns of epic global speed
Staff of Arcane Supremacy -Or similar Ofhand debuff
Rod of Recall - Use on entering a hard place to have a extra oportunity to flee
4.
Gwai's Burninator - Any free damage gear to use when main dps are on cooldown
Rod of Annulment - Debuff for hard fights
Burning Star - Free Maping
Earthen Beads -Keeps escorts alive
Dreamer's "armour" of "Whatever" -Switch to keep fighting during sleep
Khulmanar's Wrath - Keeps you alive in the fearscape
Corpselight Light source - no need to breathe and retch

Getting gear without any skills
-Run Curse lifter, the woodchucks might kill him if you are lucky (then you kill them if you are a meanie)
-Drown the poor civilians (if ur a meanie)
-If you can phase door in a controled way you can open a chest or two in the grave yard and leg it if a monster shows up
-check the vendors
If you didnt get any good gear from this you might consider to repeat the process with a new toon

Ok you got a toon to play
-Enter all instances and leave to lock max level
-Choose a easy instance with clear view or where you can dig
-Focus to level safely (we have locked max level) so if something is to hard RUN! and do another instance
-There is no one forcing you to do all levels of an instance you can do all level 1 first
-Dig zig zag tunels or find good tunels on the map
-Learn to fight around corners
-Push escorts into tunels to keep them alive when needed
-Use you items to conserve Vim/mana/stamina etc
-Always check buffs on monsters and debuff if needed
-Fighting in the end of a tunel might seem like suicide but with a rock wall behind you there is only 1 monster to worry about (hopefully)
-Dont fight if you are running out of escape routes
-Learn to lure monsters to fight where you want to fight
-Stair fight
-Dont run around, go someplace "safe" and wait for them to come to you
-Kill/stun summoners asap or run, the summons can be lev 70 when u are 10

Fastest wy to die in madness is to run up to a monster and hit him over the head, lets not do that

Tactics

Stair fighting (caster version)
Equip items that enhance gloobal speed (or other you like)
Equip all spellpower on crit gear and cast channel staff until you are buffed
Pop enhancements
Change to your fight gear
Go down and nuke (be sure to kill monster or they will heal up)
When you are running out of mana or what ever run up stair and rest (vim users equip vim on crit gear and channel staff till full)
Repeat

Corner fighting
Dig a tunel shaped like an u
Stand in the lowest part of the u and cast aoe
Hopefully (the retarded) monsters will feel your low position and dont come zerging, only the strays will enter yor tunel

Flee
I play with 2 (controlled) phase runes if i dont have epic gear.
Run when 1 is on cooldown and dig a new place to fight (yes I play without rune of shielding)

Escort survival
Equip and pop all speed enhancers you have before entering a new instance level (do this for every safe place u leave)
Congratz you got a escort
Ask him to stay
Pop movement inscription and use burrow (mindstar of sand) to tunnel into a safe wall
Get escort into tunel ( Reavers can use bone grab) with strike
stand in front of the escort to keep him from running
Heal the escort if u can and stand still and wait for the monsters to come to you
Dont hurry, a stray will kill your escort so just rest 10000 turns

Just plain survival
If you have the choice to have a skeleton warrior or a low damage monster infront of you, choose the low damage and keep him alive till the super stunner behind him is dead

Let em kill each other
Learn to love aoe monsters, they will kill other monsters if you give them reason to do so

Tunnels
If you ain't digging em u ain't surviving

Juke em
To stand in one palce will draw all monsters to you.
Pop a long distance teleport when a lot are close and you will be fairly safe to explore other parts of the instance (you were a good boy/girl and started the level by digging a good tunel)

Let em live
You dont have to kill em all, some monsters are unkillable just lure them into a long winding tunel and flee to the next level (go back after a few levels and crush the bastard)
In High peak running is the safe option

-------------------------------------------------------------
Reavers in Madness
Class: Ogree
13 hp +3 str, +2 Mag, +2 cun .30% exp pen (all our favourites)

Don't invest in talent that reduce damgage
Bone shild takes 1 hit, if its 1 damage or 100000 does not matter
We can take any damage but die to monsters that hit several times inn a row
If you see a worm that walks summon something and switch to elemental fury or die (fight him with a summon in front of you and a stone wall behind you)

Reavers are casters to level 30,after that they are bad ass meele
level 1-30
Get chanel staff
Get vim, mana on crit on gear
Get something to summon spiders or whatever
Stand behind a summon and channel staff
If you can heal your summon do so
You dont want to hit stuff until you have the gear (level 30)
Dont kill harmless monsters they are there to feed you vim (woodchucks)
When you have a training ground you never have to be low on vim, port home and get max vim

Gear that takes away debuffs on you, or debuffs bosses (winter tide Phial, gloves with disperse magic)

Great guide - thanks!

Looking at your character, I see that you had 100% stun immunity, but I cannot see where from. What am I missing?

One of the final bosses drops the Pearl of Life and Death which gives stun immunity while carried.

It's a fantastic item but you can't really build around it.

But it does make every winner that doesn't deliberately eschew it report 100% stun immunity without any equipped source, which is what the original question was about.

Yup.

And here in a thread which is about a guide, it's very helpful to state what the item does (which you did), and why it's not really relevant to any guide (which I did).

A guide, you'll recall, is what the thread was originally about.

Why don't you invest in Con instead of Cun or Str? Just asking, because Unflinching Resolve scales with Con.

Constitution is a really lackluster stat even considering unflinching resolve

Even classes that have that skill unlocked and maxed out generally don't put a single point into con if they can help it
