ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

Hey all,

So, I'm having a bit of a problem. I'm trying to unlock Sun Paladins, and I've made it to the third floor of Ardhungol, but I can't find anything resembling a boss here. I've destroyed half the level with a pickaxe, assuming that she must be hiding somewhere in the walls, but no such luck.

Does this happen often? Is there something I'm doing wrong?

I think I may have accidentally killed her along with the guy I'm supposed to be rescuing, because I'm playing an alchemist and using the classic strategy of standing around a corner and throwing bomb after bomb until everything's dead. Is it possible for this to happen?

I had the same problem with the same quest. In my case, the boss was stuck inside a 2x1 enclosure. I had to destroy the level with a pickaxe to find it. Good luck!

You can't kill the guy you go to rescue. You just get an interaction popup when you kill the boss.

Okay, another quick question, then - is he always on the third level? Because, I've destroyed the entire place, and still no sign of him.
