Do Prodigies apply to my summons?

I'm playing a summoner and getting close to level 42, and my second prodigy. Do the effects and triggers of a prodigy apply to my summons as well as myself?

For example, Elemental Surge requires me to have dealt 50,000 of arcane, fire, cold, lightning, light or nature damage. Now, I certainly haven't, but my summons have, and it's active as a choice. But if I pick it up, will my summons gain the benefits of the talent?

Another example is the Pain Enhancement System. It requires that I deal a critical hit; the problem being, as a summoner, I'm nowhere near my enemies. If my summons score a crit, does it activate?

Thanks!

You can crit your initial summon so PES will definitely work.

My summons themselves can be a criticla strike? What benefit does that confer? Longer duration? More HP?

They won't inherit prodigies. By PES working Ster means you can crit on your summoning talents to trigger PES on yourself but there is no way to get PES on your summons themselves. Wild summon crits affect the two stats that scale with talent level and mindpower for the specific summon, and they crit independently of each other.

Prodigies don't effect anyone but the player. Even Through The Crowd and Blighted Summoning won't effect anyone but the player - techincally.

Yes, don't take through the crowd as a summoner. It doesn't protect you or your other summons from rimebark or the drake's fire breath, and the save bonus caps at benefiting from 5 summons (which they should really tell you in the tooltip).

PES will trigger quite often as there are two different crit chances each time you summon.
