Hey,

im not sure if this is the right section to ask, so pardon me if this really is the wrong section :c

despite my total hate for dwarves(and damn you for having so newb friendly racials!) i decided to play a stone warden. Now my question is: is the stone alchemy tree for imbue item worth it? If i dont get the Prodigy (im going to get the one that gives you longer block duration and the one that allows you to block other stuff aswell) If i get it i guess i would invest 5 points into it, will i come into a point shortage? with how many generic points can i calculate (i didnt even won once yet so i dont know)?

There's enough generic points for 1/5 at the least, maybe more. Category points are tighter though, you'll probably be losing an infusion. It is useful even without the prodigy (I value a guaranteed 60% stun immunity enchant in particular very highly)

Well i did a mistake and spend a category point into it anyways, so much for that, and yeah maybe i lose an infusion. Maybe i dont the importance of them yet since im still a newb regarding them, but i never felt the need so far to increase them more then once.(and in terms of regeneration infusions, Stone Warden has alrdy enough defense)

The big advantage to having Stone Alchemy is the huge pile of cash you can use to buy merchant randarts late in the game. Merchant shields in particular can be nuts. Of course, this only matters if you can make it east and back.

Imbuing certain artifact gems can also be 9 kinds of insane epic. (Goedelath rock anyone?)

Stone Wardens literally have Combat Training and Call of the Wild for Generic options on base, IIRC. And artifact shields from the merchant tend to be some of the best all-around shield options.

You're crazy if you don't get Stone Alchemy and 5/5 the first two skills, ASAP, in my opinion. (Unless you have some specific escort Generic unlock you prefer, I guess.) You don't really need two unlocked class categories.
