Hi.

Looking for some advice about Blighted Summoning Prodigy and a golem.

- It says '...summons get a bonus to Magic equal to yours'. Is that a bonus equal to your magic stat, or a bonus equal to your magic bonus ?
- Would this make a Mag Golem viable in the end game ? I imagine the golem would be a glass cannon, dying fast but dealing alot of damage.
- For his 2nd stat, what do you think would increase his overall damage most ? Con to survive a bit longer, Str for extra Melee, or Cun for spell crits ?
- If my golem doesn't meet the str requirements for Corrupted Strength 3 does it still get the talent effect ?

Anything else I haven't mentioned that might make Blighted Magic Golem more effective end game ? I'd really like a useful kamikaze Golem

Last time I checked, Blighted Summoning gave wild summons a magic stat bonus equal to yours (which means they actually had a higher Mag stat than your character) but for some reason the bonus wasn't applied to alchemist golems.

Con and Cun are useless on golems. The extra hitpoints will never make a real difference, and you'll never raise its critical chance and multiplier enough to matter in a significant way. Just go with Mag and Str.

Its your total magic stat value.

And it will get the talent points regardless of requirements.

Golem's not getting the magic bonus makes Blighted Summoning not seem worth it at all for Magic golems. Oh well.

Magic golems get Reaving Combat. That's pretty sweet, since their spells all take a turn.

Yep, that does sounds useful, but without the +60 mag boost I'm not sure if its worth the prodigy.

I'm planning a dual short staff magic drolem build in my current Alchemist run. His abilities seem to scale pretty well and I have a few decent short staffs in my vault, so I can't wait to reach level 30. I didn't realise the golem should (?) have gained a bonus to magic equal to my own magic, which would've made this plan even more crazy. Does anyone know if the golem can use staff mastery? Assuming you gave it a potion that gives general points? And if it's possible, does the golem use channel staff?

Bit of a late reply, but I don't think you can give Golem Staff mastery easily. I can't find away to give them gold to buy the ability. Maybe escorts would work, but then you'd have to get a lot of alchemist escorts, and give up the bonus for yourself.

Actually, your golem already knows Staff Mastery innately, so you don't have to do anything besides pumping your own 'Golem Power' talent up.
