Lvl 10 cornac necromancer. Need assistance.

My necromancer got stone alchemy at clvl 5 or so, and I spent my cat point on that. If I want to have five runes then I'm limited to two more categories. That should be enough. I'm thinking advanced minions and shades.
I just took advanced minions, mostly for the awesome minions later on and bone giants to keep things manageable. I'm investing a lot in the basic minion talents at the moment, any suggestions for further development?
Impending doom is great, really locks down monsters well, especially with my minions in the way to absorb attacks.
What are important stats for a necromancer? I've been boosting CON, MAG and WIL, because squishy is bad, spells are good and I'm short on mana. Lots of expensive sustains and damage spells.

EDIT: Should I learn staff mastery in Angolwen? Channel staff doesn't affect friendlies, is cheap and gives me something to do while minions kill stuff. I don't have too many general skill points, but I think I could fit it in somewhere.
