Warden's Call "Fix"

Hey, hi!

Recently i had some memory issues with serious amount of clones,
so i decided to make an addon that - hopefully & probably - can fix this:

Wardens Call Fix

Changes Temporal Warden's - Warden's Call talent to solve memory issues
and make the game enjoyable & playable with Temporal Wardens with Threaded Combat.

Warden's Call now do not create a new actor (paradox clone) on each trigger,
but instead the player will instantly make a forced attack against the target.

The conditions for triggering are the same as for the paradox clones,
and during these forced attacks, the player:

- do warden swap
- moved to the locations, so it's not a teleport
- invulnerable
- has all effect immunity
- do not consume ammo
- making the forced attack with the same generic damage penalty
- moved back
- do warden swap back

I hope this solves the issues and making the game with Temporal Wardens more enjoyable. :)

Something to note. When using blighted summoning on Tw, the clones from warden's call will spread diseases. I don't know if that would be changed by this fix.

Hi!

With this current method, unfortunately not.

"Summoning cheese" like with Blighted Summoning are not exist with this addon,
but there are some other, like if you have lifesteal, you will heal from the extra attack too,
becasue you are making the attack and not a clone.

Also, currently your paradox will be tuned from your melee attacks too if you have Arrow Threading,
becasue you will trigger an archery attack.

So there are some other benefits for the cost of the summoning cheeses.

This is just a "fast solution" btw, i am open to any good idea to improve it. :)

I am at lvl 31 with this addon, no problems that I can see. It has the funny side effect that your "clones" pick items for you. I haven't really played TW without it before, only some short levels, so may I ask if the camera centering on the player is a byproduct of your addon? as in, due to the character being moved?

Yes these "effects" are because the player is moved, instead of making a clone.
I was unaware of these "side-effects", i will try to find a way to:

- not picking up objects when Warden's Call triggers

- fix the "camera" at the players original location when Warden's Call triggers
