Would it be possible to create an addon that allowed you to equip equipment in non-standard slots? Such as wearing a second amulet in place of a helmet?

I have an idea for a class with this ability, but I'm not sure how hard it would be to code.

Have a look for the beholder addon. That made a class/race that could equip like 8 rings.
