ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

I've been playing a lot of Dungeonmans lately and I love that you are able to put points into any skill tree with no restrictions. I would love to see a mod that would make category points obsolete and would allow you add points to any skill as long as you meet the requirements, this could be used if you are playing the adventurer class.

Or if anyone could tell me how to edit my save so that I have a ton of category points I guess that would work too!

Two things I can recommend. First, on the wiki, there's a Debugging that details how to go about adding in extra things. I can't remember off the top of my head if giving yourself category points is listed in there, but it should be easy enough to find.

The other thing I can recommend is two addons: Starting Prodigy and No Locked Categories. The former removes most of the requirements on Prodigies and gives you a prodigy point at level 1 and the latter allows you to unlock any skill tree without using a category point.

Thank you Xandor, I did look at the debug options, thing is my pc is broken atm and I am playing on my roommates mac laptop and I am having problems finding where to put the cheat.cfg. I can find the application support folder but there is no T-Engine folder. It also doesn't help that I know nothing about macs. If someone knows how to get into debug mode on a mac please let me know, the instructions on the wiki don't seem to work for me.

Also, I did try that No Category Points mod but it doesn't seem to work, the last update was for version 1.0.1 or something.

Ok so debug mode is available in main options menu apparently so I can add the points through the console thanks!
