Mapping Screen Movement to Hotkeys

Hey! I play ToME on my laptop, which means that there isn't a keypad for easy movement. Thus, it's much easier to move with my mouse. I was wondering if there was any way to make an addon that would allow me to move my screen, instead, when I pressed an arrow key. All I've done is class and talent modding, so I really have no idea where I'd start. If somebody was willing to make an addon, that would be great. Since it's kinda limited in use, though, I don't know if people would be interested. So, if someone could point me towards a UI mod that might give me some hints (or just tell me it isn't possible), this would be a good chance to improve my ToME-modding skills.

Iasnek, I have zero coding skills. None at all. However, I think Marson had a mod that messed with how you move the screen around, so maybe poke around his mods and see if you can find it.

I would also like to say, playing on a laptop as well, I approve of this mod wholeheartedly and will use the hell out of it. If you do end up coding it, thank you in advance.

If you are using the mouse anyway, (as Red said) you can use my UI Mod to right-click & drag the screen to move it around.

Thanks, I'll take a look. I figured that there was a good chance that someone had already done something similar. It's relatively easy to mess with talent values and damage types, but it gets a lot harder to figure out what's going on once you get to the game engine itself. I'll wander through your code and see if I can steal--I mean, learn from it!
