[Addon Page]
This is a new class and some object types. It's kind of a parody (if you couldn't tell

), but I hope to eventually make it playable and balanced and such. It requires my Weapons Pack addon (You
need the newest version).
"Be the mighty green warrior. Defeat your enemies with sword techniques, magic arrows, and a wide variety of new tools and charms."
Here's a couple of talent descriptions:
- Tool Mastery A: You gain a new tool slot. Other tools only cause your equipped tool in this slot to go on cooldown by 80%-0% as much.
- Heart Drop: You can steal life force from the hearts of powerful enemies. Boss rank enemies will now drop a heart which will increase your max life by 30 when picked up. You may benefit from this 2-8 times.
- Spin Slash: Activate to begin charging up, disarming you and reducing your movement speed by 50%. You will get one point of charge every turn, up to a maximum of 2-4.
Upon deactivation, if you have 10 stamina per point of charge, spend it to spin in a circle, dealing 90%-150% plus 40% per point of charge weapon damage to every adjacent target.
Activation will not take a turn. Deactivation will not take a turn if you do not have enough stamina or there are no targets to hit.
This isn't quite where I wanted it (It needs a locked tree, for starters), but I'm out of inspiration at the moment. Feel free to suggest some talents/trees/items.

you gave this thing no personal play testing for bugs did you cause I saw bugs galore in the first three minutes like how blade beam gives an error every turn after you use seriously just load this up yourself and take a look.
it looks pretty good design wise though letting dex and mag compensate str while letting you eat the hearts of your foes to compensate no con solid mag, dex, wil, and half str class, and the tool thing looks very interesting.
also if you want to aim for main game integration you could swing this as a more tool and equipment based warrior meta class than a combo one that would work much better with tomes lore than what you have now and I think link's magic is more gear based than casting though its been a while since my last zelda game.
as for class ideas you could have the class start with a custom inscription type based on the triforce of courage or include that inscription with a locked tree based around it.
with all the tools you have equipment enhancing wouldn't be out of place on the character maybe a talent that applies a multiplier to ego buffs on items psiblades already kinda does something like this for mindstars stat boosts.
welp enjoy your nostalgia and tome interpretation of link I'll be back when the class isn't afflicted with crippling bugs.

I tested it through Norgos', and didn't get the Blade Beam bug. :B

I tested this class through the T1 dungeons or so and didn't get any errors. I most certainly used Blade Beam. In fact I used nearly every talent the class has. Did you have the weaponry pack addon that this addon says it requires? If that's not it, I can only imagine it's some other addon interaction.

yeah I had the pack do have a lot of other addons though some of which are starting to get a little ripe so its probably that.
sorry for the accusation anyway whats your plan for the class or does it just stop at nostalgia

Popping in to say that this... is pretty brilliant. Not sure what else to say regarding that. Everything I've tried so far (admittedly, still going through the T1 stuff) has worked smoothly, and the idea and implementation are both amusing and solid.
As for further trees and whatnot, I'd definitely say something music and mask related would probably be in order, but I haven't really played the later ones enough to really hammer out talent ideas off the top of my head. Music would make for obvious AoE or sustain stuff, with masks either being transformation/sustain effects or actives of some sort (Goron roll, ferex, could be a piercing rush effect or somethin'.).
If you wanted to add shenanigans, you've got room to include some temporal play -- both OoT and the season games offer plenty of justification for greenie to be playing around with time. Might even have room either for tunic objects (blue, red, etc.) or a tree related to 'em (though it would probably be fairly passive, and while a green/blue/red talent is fairly obvious -- sustains that can't be used at the same time -- I'm not sure what a forth tier talent would be). Naturally, there's room for the obvious artifacts (Master sword, ocarina, pieces of the triforce*, artifact tools -- LttP's giant bomb, the various magic boomerangs, a fancy hookshot, etc.).
You could probably stuff new enemies into the thing, too. Octoroks, moblins... different names, obviously, but still.
*Almost certainly an artifact set of tools, given the extra item slots.

The 4th tunic could be the money stealing armor from Twilight Princess.

I used it on 80% of enemies, and got 0 bugs.
Edit: What about having certain bosses drop special tool artifacts? I mean, uh, you could probably make like, a Bombs artifact and the like easy(Have it be activateable to throw an AoE explosion), and it'd fit thematically as well.

I assume the description for the heroic swordplay tree isn't supposed to be the same as the description for the tool mastery tree.
He could make special artifacts be gotten by special chests, which are opened by Master Keys found on the same floor/on bosses? Maybe add the DAH NAH NAH NAH! sxf when the chest is opened?
Oh, and since I didn't see grays mention this anywhere, bombs, boomerangs, and medallions can be found in the jewel shop.
Might want to check the scaling on medallions. I hit an enemy with flames for 0.17 damage a turn. The descriptions also don't have the damage written in them.

Loving the class so far. Only suggestion I can think of is, since magic and dex are used for weapons, one is pushed to go daggers since Wil, Dex, and Mag already being needed for stat reqs. The Str needed for weapons mastery is hard not to neglect. While there are things like the OoT's Giant Knife, daggers isn't the best fit thematically so perhaps if you ever add a locked tree or can fit it into something existing as an added bonus (Heroic Swordplay perhaps?), include a separate weapons mastery talent requiring Dex (perhaps fit some semi-equivalent to bow mastery as well? Probably with toned down scaling to promote hybrid-ing).

Error:
Lua Error: /engine/interface/GameTargeting.lua:118: /engine/utils.lua

bad argument
Caused when using a boomerang, but hitting "escape" before deciding what to hit with it.
