ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

If you remember the tourist class from Nethack then you're on the right track.
I'd love to have an add-on for a class that excels in nothing.
I would imagine him to only be good at survival but pretty much everything else would be bad.

He could get to choose his categories much like the adventurer does, but maybe with smaller cat bonuses, 1.0 or so. Sure he'd have to have some starter categories learned so he could use his points them but the adventurer-like category choosing would be allowed with category points that I would imagine are given just like with other classes.

Basically the class would be horrible to play and aimed more as a challenge class to play with different trees, only so that it would still be interesting to play unlike adventurer.

I'm no developer so feel free to take the idea as your own if it sparks any interest.

That tourist just isn't what i had in mind. Looking at the char vault it has one tree with 3 skills.

Let's just name this class for example Wanderer.

I remember Nethack all to well... Hours of starvation... The one time found food while starving and ended up choking to death on it... Running from puppies and kittens...
