Lore library fix for v1.0 - updated 2013-02-17

A small addon that fixes the
lore library problem previously
reported by everyone. The bug causes lore not to be saved to the library. This won't make lore found with previous characters appear in the library, but will make new-found lore appear there.
v2 fixes unreliable checks

It think you should rename it to tome-lib-fix.teaa and place it in addons.

I've downloaded the file, renamed it, and put it in my addon folder...
...but it does absolutely nothing (it doesn't even show up in the addon list in-game).
What could I be doing wrong?

If you renamed it to "tome-lib-fix.teaa" and put it under "path/to/t-engine4/game/addons" and it still doesn't work, then I'm stumped.
Things to check:
- Make sure it was renamed correctly. Windows Explorer's default setting of "Hide file extensions" (if you're using Windows) makes changing the extension in the GUI problematic. You'll end up with "tome-lib-fix.teaa.zip" instead of what you meant.
- The file download got corrupted. It's so small this is unlikely, but it's something to check.
- You are using ToME 4 v1.0, right? Not an earlier beta by accident?
I've got no better help than those, for whatever they're worth.

It was #1. It works now, thanks!
EDIT: Scratch that, now I'm getting a bad addon error

I am confused. This is a .zip file. Do I take the .zip file and rename it? There are 2 other files inside of it. Do I take one of the 2 files inside the .zip file and rename it? I tried both and they don't show up in the addon list.

- Rename tome-lib-fix.zip to tome-lib-fix.teaa
- Move or copy tome-lib-fix.teaa to:
Windows: game\addons folder in your t-engine4 folder
Linux or OS X: the game/addons subdirectory in your t-engine4 directory

I get a bad addon thing when I play that forces me to use an offline profile, and I think it's because you haven't uploaded this addon to the addons list on the website, so the game doesn't think it's a legit addon. Could you fix this? I think you just have to upload it here:

Someone else posted about this, but post apparently hasn't been approved yet. Since it hasn't and others have experienced the problem without it being an issue, for it to be picked up as a good add-on and accept validation, does it not have to be properly submitted to the addon's section? Aardvark, if you could submit your addon properly, that would solve this problem for people, I think. If this DOES solve the library problem and a mistake hasn't been made in coding, that would be a good idea, so everyone can use it without losing online capability.

I would, but you need an online account to post addons on te4.org and I haven't got one. I only play offline.

But it's very easy to make an online account, I can't think of any reason you wouldn't, unless your paranoid Darkgod made this game just to steal all our data or something. Or maybe you have a really flaky internet connection, but then how would you have even uploaded it in the first place?
Anyways, I've always played online and I find the online features very useful. Now I can't link items to show them to my friends, and they also now longer can see my new characters online anymore. I find myself often looking at my old characters as well. Is there any way you can upload it properly on tome's website, or give someone permission to do it for you?
