Yes - finally an archer winner. Lost a similar anti-magic-archer in slime tunnels. And this died no less than 5 times. So defense is a big prob.. challange. Relied on running two good shields.
Fun:
- Challenging.
- There are lots of different and good rand-art arrows, varied during leveling.
- Lots of points to spend
Not-So-Fun:
- Monotonous (compare to other classes)
- Little progress in skills/ things-to-do.
I.e. from the start it is all the same. Skill progression does not bring any new fun/ powerful/ cool stuff to do.
I think archers need .. something .. spicy.
(did not invest in poisons - does not seem that cool?)

Yeah I think most people would agree with that. Class is a bit of a hodge podge.

I'm working on a Thalore archer now, so I'm interested in your build. I'm surprised to see you didn't put much in Dual Arrows and none in Volley of Arrows. Those are core talents for me. I also don't use the Combat Techniques tree at all.
I don't see the point in 5/5 for Wrath of the Woods and Nature's pride, since points above the first just decrease cooldown, and I don't find myself using either one super frequently. I like 5/5 in the first two technique/conditioning talents instead.

Basically I felt I had too many points -
correction - no good/ cool place to put the points!
- Dual Arrows - don't know why I didn't max that, now I see it does not cost stamina even... My mistake - but the last points didn't add that much. (I did run into stamina issues in the peak.)
- Volley - I liked Scatter Shot much more.
- technique/conditioning, I didn't have that one. Wrath of the Woods and Nature's pride - yea, I put them there when I was climbing peak. Had nowhere else to use them...
- Combat Techniques, I
hope/think it affects range attacks too... anyone?
My game play;
I had Steady shot on "Auto-use when visible" (also 1 shield on auto). For crowd control Scatter shot & Dual arrows. Thereafter Crippling & Pinning. Later also the prodigy Vital shot. Repeat, done.
Strangling shot on casters.

I think it does, I just don't tend to need extra accuracy or critical chance.
