ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

i post this thread just to say that this class is ridiculous and imo need some heavy nerfing. so, i unlocked oozemancers and decided to try them, i never seriously played wilders before this char so i didn't know what meditation did (reduces 50% damage) and kept it on. it was ridiculous when i realized it, i thought that the class wasn't op at all, i had some problems with damage output especially because i mostly relied on slime spit + poisonous spores till late midgame and even claimed in the chat that oozemancer wasn't that op as people said :3 i had to do elven ruin for levels because i couldn't take master having ooze and mucus tree poorly trained. i did dark crypt (almost died though, was at 60 hp + 3 diseases and no means to clear them at one point) and survived orc ambush, all doing 50% damage and almost without using the most powerful oozemancer tools i.e. oozes. so, when at lvl 36 i read tooltip of meditation and realized my folly i was ashamed and quit the character for a week or so, recently picked it again and quickly won. with full damage and using oozes there wasn't a single hard fight anymore (so playing with meditation on was more fun, heh), orc pride entrances died after i pressed several buttons (and i got demon invasion portal in grushnak guarded barracks 1, still no problems), all bosses died not being able to do anything, charred scar was funny, everybody died for the time when i passed them, even the final fight was very easy and never put me in a serious danger, i think i once got 1/3 of my hp lost during it and that's all. also the character was rather unlucky, lost two anorithil escorts so no track, got fearscaped 3 times, it was rather scary than dangerous though, fearscape was no match for my damage and healing.
well, athamaton was a hard fight, i even lost blood of life because he one shot me from full hp despite i wasn't adjacent, had 5/5 indiscernible anatomy and a few oozes to share damage with (as i mentioned my char was unlucky) but he eventually died to my oozes too, at that point i decided to retire char and let her live a happy lesbian family with mirinda. athamaton it's postgame after winning though, so basically the main normal game has nothing to oppose current oozemancers, even poorly played
