First Win - Ghoul Corruptor

Normal/Adventure. I never thought that my first winner would be a Corruptor. I'd tried more frequently on a Sun-Pal, who was my first character to make it to the final boss, but died in the final fight. Then I made that Corruptor to try something new...and my first (serious) attempt got me all the way to stomping the final boss.

I actually had one spare life still by the final boss. My most recent death was me being over-zealous and thinking I could take on Mr. Super-Golem. Yikes.
Had quite a bit of fun with this guy, actually. Surprisingly tanky, and the silly amounts of damage he was doing (with guaranteed crits, no less) made me blaze through most of the game. Most of the deaths were carelessness issues, as I kept getting lulled into a false sense of security. Every time I died I'd come back and easily win against the monsters that killed me, so eh.
I kind of regret the points into Fearscape, as I just realized I pretty much never used it. I just could never justify the vim cost, I think. If I were to play again, I'd probably get Bone earlier and Shadowflame later, since Bone Shield is so good. Interesting fact: I succeeded in escorting 3 Sun Paladins. This ended up giving me a really nice Chant of Fortitude. Not going to complain about that nice save bonus.
I dunno how "optimal" this character was made. Both of my prodigies are defensive in nature, but I think it worked out well in the end. Ghoul ended up working well here, since Retch is pretty amazing when you stack Blight damage and the extra hit points helped.
Now to try that Sun-Pal again, or maybe an anti-magic character.
