YES, my first win!
Unfortunately sometime during High Peak the connection to the server was lost, so the character is still Level 45 in the online profile (got to Level 50 in the final fight): http://te4.org/characters/27100/tome/43 ... deeb4a6bbd
I hope it will update once it is working again!
Anyway, it was quite easy all in all. There were some deaths, as I recall:
- opening the vault in Vor Armory with Level 30 or so. I looked at the dragon-wyrm thingies and decided to casually walk away. It would have worked if I did not have a short brain failure and walked the correct way to the exit. Instead I walked into one of the rooms with no other exit and was stuck. My teleport rune did not help either since it did not drop me in a more favorable position.
I think all the other deaths were in High Peak.
- Two deaths were when I opened a room and found tons of monsters. I should have teleported away immediately, but chose to do one or 2 spells instead. Bad decision.
- An elite Orc Berserker (I think) just one-shotted me at full health. I did not have Barrier up, this would have prevented the death. Overconfidence.
- One death during the final fight. However, it seemed slightly buggy to me. I used a cloak with the talent which allows you to do 4 turns three times and choose the future you like most. I was at low health when I used it. So I did this one time, everything went fine. Then I got ported back to 4 turns before, and before I could do anything I was dead. Not sure what happened there.
I think these were all deaths. I might have forgotten one.
The Corona+Hymn of Moonlight combo is simply amazing. I also had two items which cast additional spells automatically. I got unbreakable Will as my first prodigy, and somehow forgot to take a second. I failed earlier to stop some sorcerers from summoning something ( did not realize you had to go south, I thought I had to fight the orcs which were spawning).
Aeryn never went below 60% hp I think. I tried to keep the two enemies confused and or silenced (circle of sanctity: great, great talent) and otherwise let corona and my dps spells do the work. I did not even know you could close some portals there, so I got that achievement by accident.
Really great game. Will try a necromancer next, I believe - this time on the steam version
