After two failed brawlers who died at last battle, I finally figured out how to win with a brawler:

This was the most powerful character I've won with so far. I didn't close any portals, simply killed the final bosses.

I had amazing gear, from 4-5 merchant purchases and endless far portal visits (about 20 I think).

I didn't even have to use a regen infusion in the final fight !!!! one shield, used once was sufficient.

Blinding Speed + Adrenaline Surge + lots of Hitpoints + BIG damage = win.

I had 2212 HPs plus 8 per turn, but the Battle Shout on the gloves raised that to 2500 consistently.

The other point of interest is that I only used TWO artifacts (Girdle of Preservation + Pick of Dwarven Emporers) , the rest were ranarts and regular items. In fact I had 4 regular (purple of course) items for final fight and all of last 10 levels.

I thought artifacts were always superior, but I don't think so now.

When I changed my gear around, I could actually get *** physical power, that is 100 (300 unscaled!). Which let me stun everything.

My major change for this build from previous builds was unlocking Cunning / Dirty Fighting. The talents in that work very well with brawlers and were invaluable in final fight.

My other major change was that I built from the outset preparing for final battle. So for instance Cunning / Tactical was only 2 1 1 5, because high defence is useless in last battle.

Technique / Conditioning was 5 5 5 3, which also made a big difference.

Another change was to max stats where I could:
STR: 98
DEX: 89
Mag: 16
WIL: 50
CUN: 121
CON: 97.

Now I'm going to try my hand against Atamatathon!!!

Atamatathon smashed me. I had 3 goes at him, but he is impossible with this build.

Nevermind...

If you had a different prodigy (other then the running one like Draconian body) or picked up more resists for atama you could had beaten him.

Flurry of fist not being 5/5 and not having a movement/teleport infusion would had made it a ton of harder to defeat atama too since you need to deal a ton of damage asap and then run away to recoup.
