Thalore Summoner, unlock Providence vs Celestial/Light tree?

Just resqued an Anorithil with my lvl 2 Thalore Summoner, which reward should I pick?
Providence seems great from the start. Does it really remove one debuff per turn?
But unlocking Celestial/Light would give me access to more levels in Providence, plus "Bathe In Light" which I figure could be a nice light source.
So the question is, will a Summoner have enough generic(?) points to spare for another tree? And will the tree require me to raise my magic stat? Maybe just a rank in Providence fits my class better? What say you?
BTW: Why can't I access the game chat while choosing my prize?
