Locked in time prison 3 times until death, never happened something like this at low level. Was a random boss from a vault in Dreadfall 5.

So you were never allowed to act between time prisons? That is probably a bug since I don't think Time Prisons should (a) have a cooldown lower than the effect length and (b) merge effects. We'll look at this...

Time Skip grants a spell save against this effect. Each time the time prison is applied it applies another effect called Continuum Destabilization that increases your spell save against this type of effect. In other words it puts a stacking buff on you that makes it harder and harder for these types of effects to be applied.

So on the first cast Time Skip is checked against your Spell Save.

The second cast is checked against your Spell Save + 30% of the enemies spell power.

The third is checked against your Spell Save + 60% of the enemies spell power (and will only succeed if you've been neglecting your spell save).

The fourth is Spell Save + 90% of the enemies spell power (and will hardly ever succeed).

The fifth is checked against Spell Save + 120% of the enemies spell power (and really I don't think will ever succeed in the current system but might rarely succeed post b38).

As to the cooldown vs. effect duration it's a cooldown of 6 vs. a duration of 5 at TL 6, beyond that the duration can exceed the cooldown but Continuum Destabilization will prevent you from being stuck in a Time Prison forever. The effects don't merge and even if they did you wouldn't take damage from Time Skip on reapplication.

So in your specific case, you had a combination of a random unique with a talent level above 6, who either was smart enough to wait to use the talent until it expired or lucky enough to recast it on the exact turn your time skip expired, and a spell save that you'd been neglecting.

In any event, Time Skip has been rewritten for next beta and will once again function like Rune of the Rift does, which means the player will simply be immune to the non-damaging portion of the effect.

No, can't act at all between prisons.
