ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

So my necro walks but to High Sun Paladin Aeryn, a bunch of battered skeletons in tow.

I tell her how I totally rocked the charred scar.

"I have heard about that; good men lost their lives for this. I hope it was worth it."

"Sure," I say, "they delayed the orcs so that I could get to the heart of the volcano."

This is not quite true. What in fact happened was that I first went in the wrong direction, then the paladins got into fights with my undead, so I had to kill everybody before heading in the right direction. I love how the game turned my char into a smug-faced liar

I swear my Higher necromancer didn't slaughter all the paladins either! :s

Once at Charred Scar, I was backtracking as usual to pick up all the loot I ignored during the race, when to my surprise I run into a bunch of sun paladins. Apparently they somehow trounced the orcs. So later that night we all get together and drink some ale, gather a few saucy wenches, and throw a big ol' party where we each talk about how badass we were back at Charred Scar. There are kegstands, strippers, drunken fight songs, and hearty slaps on the back for a job well done.

The next morning I've got a hangover, and I'm listening to Aeryn solemnly tell me about how good men lost their lives. Not wanting to spoil the somber mood, my character just nods and agrees.
