Preamble: This is a record of me attempting to play a no items archmage. I will not wear items and I will not use them, with the exception of inscriptions. Instead everything will be sold for Great Profit. You can find the latest details about the character here:

Greedy was born to a poor family of miners in the great undercity of Iron Throne. But though his parents had little to live on they saved up enough to send their child to train as a mage in the hidden city of Angolwen. One day Greedy returned from his training to find his family living in squalor, barely able to feed themselves. Recent orc attacks had cut down on mining operations, and his parents had no money saved to survive on. Greedy determined to help stop the orcs, and to earn enough money to repay his parents for his education. Moreover, he determined that he must never allow himself to be poor - indeed, he would sooner sell the cloth on his back than be penniless. And so he stripped from his linen robe and put his staff aside to be sold, and left his home with only his long beard to cover his modesty.
Day 1 of Greedy's profit report
Council has given me 10 gold to explore happenings in Reknor. Profit already! They say big risk, but me no care. Angolwen training will serve me well. They give me brute dwarf to escort, Norgan his name. He say me can keep all items found if he allowed to kill all enemies - me sees the start of a beautiful relationship!
Starting investment: 3 x Magic, 2 x Illuminate, 1 x Heal
Breezy down here. Will have to grow beard longer to protect family jewels. Dark too, especially without lantern, but Norgan has one so me okay. He seem to like killing the rats and snakes, so me lets him enjoy himself.
Found an orc skulking in a dark place. Strange to see one, when the outside world thinks they is extinct... But me and Norgan help make illusion reality. Hmm, odd, burnt orc smell like bacon... Must return to Council and report our findings, but from some of the hooting in the darkness I think we might have been discovered. Will tread carefully.
Found nice staff and some gems. Will keep them aside to sell. Norgan gave a lustful look at an axe me found, but me reminded him of our deal. Stupid zerker...
Level 2 investment: 3 x Magic, 1 x Illuminate, 1 x Phase Door
Got to next level safely, but orc numbers are growing. Dirty creatures are shooting at us from the darkness. Me can use me spells to lighten up the place, but Norgan keep moaning that me blinds him. Useless fool. Can he not close his eyes when me yells the spell chant? Instead he stumbles about in front of me spells. His own fault if he ends up getting his beard singed off before we get out.
Am sick of darkness now. Need to get outside so me can see loot better. Imagine all the riches that are in the great outside world, ready to be taken by the brave and worthy? Hmm, stairs ahead, looks like we'll finally be out of this place. Have many items to sell now! Even had to leave some heavy armours behind - so sad.
Level 3 investment: 3 x Magic, 1 x Illuminate, 1 x Phase Door
Gyack! Bad surprise at top of stairs. From darkness comes ball of filth in me face, giving me feverish fits. Me casts Illuminate and sees a huge green orc clawing at his eyes and screaming. Norgan stumbles about blindly (stupid zerker) so me pushes him towards the orc and starts blasting with me spells. The two start hacking at each other and me keeps on blasting (popping me regen infusion on to help cure the dratted disease) until finally the big orc keels over, his black blood still bubbling from the flames and his hair sparking with electricity. Hah, take that orcy!
Level 4 and 5 investment: 3 x Magic, 3 x Constitution, 1 x Flameshock, 2 x Manathrust, 1 x Phase Door
Me quickly loots his body - a big axe (looks valuable), a silver rod (wonder how much this will sell for?) and a few other bits I can pawn off. Profit forecast looking high! Norgan is dancing over body of orc looking smug. Idiot zerker was nothing more than meat shield. Oh well, time to get out and get selling!
End of Day 1: After sales finished with 69.25 gold. Gooo profit!
Hmm, stores won't accept silver rod thing. Must be junk. Will have to just throw it out...
