How to post your character dumps

To properly display the information from a character dump in a post, and to make it easier to read, you must put your dump between the code brackets, which is a tab located between the quote and list tabs at the top your post.

Doing this will help make reading your dumps easier, and you will most likely get more comments on your dump, questions answered, and a better comment.

Thank you

One may also wish to spend a moment to strip out unnecessary details - others will be more likely to read your post if it doesn't have a lot of irrelevant info on equipment junk you're carrying.

Also, don't forget that ToME supports online profiles with character info, so you may wish to link to that. Be aware that this information is not static though (unless the character has become terminally static).

In fact the online profile is great to track char's progresses. Just one link, and you don't have to make pages of chardumps listing all swords of uselessness in the inventory!

I can't play online since my ToME is not connected (deliberatley on my part). Thus FM's comments still hold good!

But obviously if you can play online referencing the dump is the way to go!

I suggest changing the title to:

Code: Select all

Post your character dumps in code tags
Then you can have the content of the thread in the title making it easier for people to get the message (without even opening the thread).
