Re: Bob III the invulnerable Yeek Doomed (winner)
The Magic-based talents should use spellpower, and the Willpower-based talents might use mindpower. I'm not 100% sure about how the latter will play out, as there are so few mindpower items.
Re: Bob III the invulnerable Yeek Doomed (winner)
Does it mean it's useless now? I thought Force of Will powers do use spellpower, thus making staves useful.benli wrote:Those sound like good changes to me. Pity could be changed to work like stealth or as an effect that turns on and off (my preference for simplicity). I'm compiling a list of doomed changes to work on when I have time:

Re: Bob III the invulnerable Yeek Doomed (winner)
The stuff in talents/cursed/force-of-will.lua all uses Willpower. There's even a local function at the top of the file that redefines the combatTalentDamage function to use Willpower instead of spellpower.
Re: Bob III the invulnerable Yeek Doomed (winner)
Oh. So, as i understand, what it means is that for all practical reasons Doomed can now wield any weapon he chooses for whatever general benefits it brings. Say Corpsebow for nice disease resist. Right?
Re: Bob III the invulnerable Yeek Doomed (winner)
Also - another Q to the original poster - was you able to defeat Subject Z with your char? And if so - how? I wonder if its even possible to do at the lvl 10 or so, when the yeek doomed is about to reach him.
Re: Bob III the invulnerable Yeek Doomed (winner)
I unlocked Mindslayers with a Yeek Doomed, and I didn't use the Rod of Recall trick to delay it, either. I was just lucky in that I was able to Willful-Strike him away from the Wayist before he could kill it.
Re: Bob III the invulnerable Yeek Doomed (winner)
I beat Z when I revisited the level at about level 30, saving the Wayist was easy when I was that far overleveled.marchewka wrote:Also - another Q to the original poster - was you able to defeat Subject Z with your char? Re: Bob III the invulnerable Yeek Doomed (winner)
Oh. And any specific hint on how to prevent Z from doing the "shadowstep->(dazed)->flurry" combo? For me he seems to be doing that every single time i'm there, instakilling any yeeks of mine i have there, be it zerker, archmage or doomed.TheRani wrote:I unlocked Mindslayers with a Yeek Doomed, and I didn't use the Rod of Recall trick to delay it, either. Re: Bob III the invulnerable Yeek Doomed (winner)
There may have been a Movement infusion involved in getting me into Willful Strike range. I think there may also have been luck involved. Also, keep in mind that this was back when Shadowstep was more expensive, and the enemy AI wasn't as awesome.marchewka wrote:Oh.
