Perceived Lua 5.2 impact?

Just out of curiosity, what writing on the wall is there thus far in terms of the, apparently recently upgraded to Beta from last year's Alpha, forthcoming 5.2 Lua? I would imagine it could have some interesting impacts not unlike if a new level of OpenGL opened up...faster/better doings...etc...

Thoughts?

None since I won't upgrade :)
It's not supposed to be faster anyway, but it breaks a few mechanisms T4 depends upon and it would be hell to change it

Haha, well that answers that! Perhaps it'll wind up hashed out in such a way as to mitigate some of that by the time it gets out of Beta, otherwise T-Engine rolls onward as it does! 8)
